From the Premier League… A last chance to save Rodrigo

The future of Brazilian winger Rodrygo Goes remains uncertain during the current summer transfer window.
According to the Spanish newspaper “AS,” Rodrygo’s name is being mentioned by several major European clubs. Although no official offer has been received by Real Madrid yet, the club’s management is considering his departure as part of its plan to complete two final deals this summer.
Rodrigo played only 45 minutes in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona last April, in addition to 92 minutes in the Club World Cup. Despite his prominent position among the continent’s elite, his opportunities are gradually diminishing, both inside and outside Madrid.
Although the player and his entourage have affirmed their desire to continue with Real Madrid, talk of his possible departure has continued since his substitution in the Copa del Rey final, especially given his declining physical and mental health. He has lost approximately 5 kilograms and has failed to regain his balance despite spending a week in Brazil with his two children.
While major clubs are turning their attention to alternatives, Rodrygo is gradually finding himself out of their plans, amid limited interest from clubs capable of meeting Real Madrid’s conditions.
Bayern Munich stands out as one of these clubs, but the Bavarian club has opted for Colombian Luis Diaz, the Liverpool star, in a deal estimated at around €80 million, with a contract until 2029 and a salary of €14 million per year.
Liverpool, despite spending nearly €220 million on Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, has yet to make a move for Rodrygo.
The report noted that Arsenal has also not made a decisive move for Rodrygo, despite investing €200 million this summer in Zubimendi, Madueke, and Gjokeres.
The report emphasized that Tottenham remains Rodrygo’s only option, which is less attractive than the other options, but at the same time, it may be his last chance to leave Real Madrid before the transfer window closes.
